Overview:

Tread Lightly is a series of chairs constructed entirely from reclaimed treadmill components, transforming fitness waste into bold seating pieces. Designed for commercial and creative environments, the chairs retain the visual language of their origin while introducing a new function. The bright finish contrasts with the industrial materiality, creating a product that is both playful and purposeful.

How it was made

Treadmills were dismantled and sorted into usable material streams. Steel components were cut and reconfigured into structural chair frames. Rollers and running belts were repurposed to form the seating surface, maintaining flexibility and durability. Components were cleaned, refinished, and assembled into a cohesive form.
