Overview:
Grounded is a collaborative seating piece combining reclaimed treadmill components with decommissioned military-grade textiles. How it was made
The frame was constructed from reclaimed treadmill steel components, with rollers and belts forming the seat base. Upholstery was created by Christopher Raeburn using decommissioned Lynx helicopter windscreen covers. The headrest integrates a transformable textile element, functioning as both cushion and wearable coat, adding an interactive layer to the piece.
